His journey into blade smithing began in 2022 under the mentorship of long-time knife maker Dan Graves. Quintin quickly fell in love with the craft, leading him to build a workshop beneath his home where he could hone his skills. He expanded his knowledge by watching online videos and studying hundreds of knives in books and magazines for inspiration, always challenging himself to create more intricate designs.

After only one year of knife making, he produced a knife in 2023 that was published in the October 2024 edition of Blade magazine.
